Focusing on making induction-based cooking accessible and affordable for all, the organization is expanding its reach to states such as Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Bihar.
EESL has commended the pioneering efforts of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister in adopting clean cooking practices across more than 55,000 Anganwadi centers.

In a recent presentation, E. Surya Kumari, Secretary of the Department of Women Development and Child Welfare, and Director M. Venugopal Reddy outlined the program's key benefits: a safer environment for Anganwadi workers, 35% cost savings, 30% higher energy efficiency compared to LPG, reduced reliance on cylinders, decreased indoor pollution, and the avoidance of over 28,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions annually.
In the first phase, induction cooktops and utensil kits were distributed to 11,400 centers, while another 20,000 centers received this equipment in the second phase. By the end of this month, a total of 55,746 Anganwadi centers will be brought under the ambit of this program.
This milestone reflects Andhra Pradesh's commitment to sustainable development and aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for a clean and green India
