Every eligible journalist will get accreditation card
Hyderabad : Telangana MediaAcademy Chairman K. Srinivas Reddy on Friday said the academy is working diligently to ensure that every eligible journalist is issued an accreditation card. He assured that no injustice will be done to anyone.
Free family health cards were distributed to journalists of the Nizamabad City Press Club on Wednesday under the auspices of the Wellness Hospital. Srinivas Reddy formally handed over the cards to the journalists.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the fourth phase meeting of the State Accreditation Committee will be held on Thursday. He said that necessary amendments will be proposed to the government in GO 252 for the issuance of accreditations as per the requests of journalist associations and journalists.
He said that no one needs to worry in the process of issuing accreditation cards, and accreditations will definitely be issued to all those who are eligible. He said that steps will be taken to ensure that cards are also granted to sports journalists, cartoonists, film and cultural journalists.
He said that the Media Academy has taken steps to ensure complete justice to all journalists. He said that the cards will be issued at the state and district levels on the basis of circulation.
He said that a sub-committee has been formed for the procedures for issuing accreditation cards to cable channel journalists and a decision will be taken as per the committee report.
He said that accreditations should not be issued to those who are not related to journalism under any circumstances.
He said that the Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have the largest number of accreditation cards like nowhere else in the country, and this time too the cards will be issued in the same manner as before.
He said that he will meet the State Revenue Minister within two to three days in this regard.
