Rythu Bharosa: Assistance credited to farmers in dist
Khammam: “The government has credited financial assistance under the Rythu Bharosa scheme to the bank accounts of farmers owning up to four acres for the Kharif 2026 season,” District Agriculture Officer Dhansari Pullaiah said on Thursday.
In a statement, Pullaiah said that a total of 2,98,513 farmers in Khammam district have received Rs 255.75 crore under the scheme, with the amount directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
Providing constituency-wise details, he said 16,197 farmers in Khammam Assembly constituency received Rs 14.69 crore, while 71,029 farmers in Palair were credited Rs 58.08 crore.
In Sathupalli, 74,682 farmers received Rs 62.19 crore, 78,832 farmers in Madhira were provided Rs 66.28 crore, and 56,673 farmers in Wyra received Rs 53.78 crore.
In Kamepalli mandal of Yellandu Assembly constituency, 1,100 farmers were credited Rs 73 lakh.
The District Agriculture Officer stated the financial assistance would help farmers meet cultivation expenses at the beginning of the agricultural season, enabling them to undertake farming operations without delay.
He advised beneficiaries to verify the deposits in their bank accounts and contact the concerned Agriculture Department officials in case of any discrepancies or queries.
Pullaiah asserted the State government is implementing the Rythu Bharosa scheme with priority to strengthen farmers’ welfare and ensure that every eligible cultivator receives timely financial assistance to support agricultural activities.
