WARANGAL: District Collector Dr. Sathya Sharada carried out an unannounced inspection of the Government Primary Health Centre (Ayushman Health Mandir) at Rayaparthi mandal centre on Wednesday.
During the visit she examined the medical services being provided to patients, staff attendance, availability of medicines and the general facilities offered at the centre.
At the rural dispensary she observed the administration of childhood vaccines and questioned staff about the implementation of the immunisation programme.
The collector then checked the hospital’s medicine stocks. She instructed officials to regularly review inventories to ensure no expired drugs remain on the shelves and to take steps for safe storage of medicines.
Visiting the laboratory, Dr. Sathya Sharada asked the lab in-charge about available drugs, medical equipment and other instruments.
She advised keeping the laboratory clean at all times and directed officials to take measures to improve sanitation in the health centre’s surrounding areas.
The collector urged doctors and medical staff to work with dedication to provide quality healthcare and ordered that all necessary steps be taken to prevent any inconvenience to patients.
She also spoke directly with patients who had come to the hospital with health complaints to record their feedback on medical services, staff responsiveness and medicine availability.
Deputy DMHO Dr. Prakash, Medical Officer Dr. Arun, the local village sarpanch and other officials accompanied the collector during the surprise inspection.
