Hanumakonda: Wardhannapet MLA and retired IPS officer K.R. Nagaraju said that computer literacy has become essential for students to succeed in today’s competitive world and assured support for improving educational opportunities for underprivileged children.
Participating as the chief guest at a free laptop distribution programme organised by Bala Vikasa at ZPHS, Taralapalli village, on Wednesday, the MLA distributed laptops to students and encouraged them to use technology for learning and skill development.
He advised students to focus on education, set high goals and make proper use of the support provided by donors.
Nagaraju said financial difficulties should not become a barrier to education and assured assistance to deserving students.
The MLA stated that efforts are underway to improve infrastructure in government schools and hostels across the Wardhannapet constituency.
He appreciated Bala Vikasa for supporting poor students through laptop distribution and urged youngsters to use technology for education and career advancement rather than entertainment.
He later inspected the school kitchen and directed officials to ensure hygienic and quality mid-day meals for students.
