Hanumakonda: Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) cheques worth Rs 1,05,54,100 were distributed to 262 beneficiaries from various mandals and villages of Palakurthi constituency on Monday.
Palakurthi MLA Mamidala Yashaswini Reddy handed over the cheques at a programme held at her camp office in Palakurthi mandal centre.
Speaking on the occasion, Yashaswini Reddy said the CMRF was aimed at helping poor and middle-class families meet costly medical expenses without falling into debt.
She said the Congress government was giving priority to public health and welfare and taking steps to ensure that every eligible family received government assistance.
The MLA said applications were being scrutinised through her camp office and the sanctioning process expedited. Beneficiaries thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the MLA for the financial assistance.
