Vijayawada: Dr NRS Government Ayurvedic College, Vijayawada, has received permission to conduct admissions for the academic year 2026–27, bringing relief to aspiring Ayurveda students and the academic community. 

The permission was secured following sustained efforts and representations by the college and the AYUSH Department for continuation of admissions and strengthening of academic and clinical facilities at the institution. 

College Principal Dr T Bullaiah met AYUSH Director Gopala Krishna and Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department Secretary G Veerapandian and expressed his gratitude for their guidance and support in facilitating the permission. 

Dr Bullaiah said the continuation of admissions was a significant development that would enable students to pursue undergraduate education in Ayurveda at the government institution.

Dr P Jagadish, Superintendent, Dr AL Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Vijayawada, Deputy Director Jada Dhanunjaya Rao and AYUSH Department Accounts Officer K Anand were present.
