Grand Jagannath Rath Yatra Held in Warangal Amid Fervour

WARANGAL: The annual Jagannath Rath Yatra was celebrated with grandeur in the twin cities of Hanumakonda and Warangal on Monday, drawing thousands of devotees. 

The procession, marked by chants of “Hare Rama, Hare Krishna,” witnessed an overwhelming spiritual atmosphere and enthusiastic participation, making it a visual spectacle.

Devotees thronged the entire route in large numbers to catch a glimpse of the deity and offer prayers. 

ISKCON temple organisers stated that the unique significance of the Jagannath Rath Yatra lies in the belief that the Lord comes out to bless devotees once a year. 

They added that the festival has been conducted in Warangal for the past 20 years under the aegis of the ISKCON temple.

The chariot procession commenced from the Hanumakonda Police Headquarters and passed through Ashok Junction, Hanumakonda Chowrasta, Mulugu Road, and MGM Circle before culminating at Venkateswara Gardens. 

Women welcomed the procession by decorating the route with colourful rangolis. Later, cultural programmes held at Venkateswara Gardens captivated the large gathering. 

On the occasion, H.G. Sitaram Prabhuji, H.G. Nitai Madhav Prabhuji, H.G. Eduraj Prabhuji, and H.G. Sachinandana Hari Prabhuji delivered spiritual discourses. Mahaprasadam (annadanam) was distributed to devotees.

ISKCON temple committee members Shadbhuj Gaurangadas, Harikrishnananda Prabhu, Muralivadana Prabhu, Dharmendra Das Prabhu, and Murali Krishna, along with several devotees, participated in the event.
