Hyderabad : In light of rainfall warnings in Telangana, State Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao held a review meeting via video conference with District Collectors at the Secretariat today (Saturday).
During the meeting, he provided guidance to officials on several key issues, including the rainfall situation across the state, paddy procurement, and arrangements for the Chief Minister's visits to the districts.
The Chief Secretary specifically discussed the impact of the rains and directed the administrative machinery in all districts to remain alert.
He advised officials to take proactive measures to prevent any inconvenience to the public given the forecast of heavy rains, instructing them to pay special attention to low-lying areas and regions prone to flooding.
Clear instructions were issued to the Collectors to ensure that farmers face no difficulties at procurement centers. He advised them to provide the necessary facilities to enable farmers to sell their grain easily. He also directed officials to expedite pending paddy procurement and ensure timely payments to the farmers.
The Chief Secretary advised the district administration to work in coordination to ensure the public faces no inconvenience. He ordered continuous monitoring of the rainfall situation and directed all departments to be prepared to respond immediately to any emergencies.
He emphasised that the district administration must remain extra vigilant in view of the rainfall warnings, paddy procurement operations, and the Chief Minister's scheduled visits.
Officials were directed to take all necessary measures with the aim of providing better services to farmers and the public.
