Since assuming charge on September 15, 2025, SP Dr Ajitha Vejendla launched targeted concepts such as ‘Cordon and Search Operations’,
‘Naka Bandi’, ‘Face Wash and Go’, and the anti-narcotics campaign ‘Drugs Vadhu Bro’.
These initiatives have received strong public support. Cordon and Search drives have enabled officers to track habitual offenders, monitor rowdy-sheeters, and recover stolen motorcycles, cars, and auto-rickshaws.
Concurrently, daily ‘Naka Bandi’ operations—involving high-intensity vehicle checkpoints on state and national highways alongside routine inspections of local lodges—have led to significant seizures of ganja and the apprehension of wanted criminals.
These operations have now become mandatory daily protocols for police personnel ranging from Constables to Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs).
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu praised SP Dr Ajitha Vejendla for implementing these innovative policing models during a recent Collectors’ conference held at Amaravati.
Underscoring that public participation is vital for building a crime-free society,
SP Dr. Ajitha Vejendla urged citizens to immediately report information regarding narcotics, cyber frauds, financial crimes, or offenses against women and children via emergency number 112 or the Eagle toll-free helpline 1972.
Meanwhile, police forces conducted a massive Cordon and Search operation in the Kavali 1 Town area on Wednesday as part of the ongoing drive.
