Wait for rly line to Bhupalpalli getting longer and longer 

Bhubalapally: Despiterapid development in the Jayashankar Bhupalpalli district of united Warangal, the absence of a railway connection to the district has become a matter of concern. 

Although the district has vast coal reserves, high-quality sand, other mineral wealth, Singareni mines, the Kakatiya Thermal Power Plant (KTCPP), Godavari command areas, Kaleshwaram, Medigadda, Annaram projects, dense forest tracts, tourist spots, and interstate bridges, it still lacks a railway link. 

The locals, Singareni workers, and business groups have been demanding a railway line to Bhupalpalli, but the project has not taken shape. 

Even though surveys are complete, funding proposals prepared, and in-principle approval reportedly received from the Centre, construction has not begun, leaving residents disappointed. 

The Kazipet–Bhupalpalli line and the Ramagundam–Bhupalpalli–Manuguru line projects have been pending for a long time.

Although these routes would be crucial for easing coal transport to Singareni open-cast mines and the Kakatiya Thermal Power Plant, the proposals have not progressed beyond planning. 

The Centre had earlier approved a roughly 198–200 km railway route from Ramagundam via Bhupalpalli to Manuguru. 

As part of the final location survey, officials collected soil samples at several locations, but subsequent construction work did not proceed. 

A conveyor belt from the Tadicherla coal mine to the Kakatiya Thermal Power Plant was proposed for coal transport but was not implemented.

Currently coal is moved by tippers on roads, increasing transport costs and putting pressure on highways. Officials and experts say a railway link would enable faster, lower-cost coal supply.
