Freedom Party pays rich tributes to Jagjivan Ram in Vijayawada, Kurnool
Vijayawada : The Andhra Pradesh Freedom Party President Ramakanth Maadiga commemorated the 39th death anniversary of former Deputy Prime Minister and freedom fighter Babu Jagjivan Ram Party leaders and Freedom Party workers garlanded Babuji’s portrait at the AP State Committee Office. Ramakanth Maadiga offered floral tributes at his statue in Vijayawada.
In Kurnool Vishwakarma Sridhara Chari paid flower tribute at his bronze state at the Five Roads Junction in Kurnool. Sridhara Chari hailed Jagjivan Ram as a champion of the poor, Dalits, and weaker sections, highlighting his journey from a humble background to India’s highest constitutional posts.
Sridhara Chari thanked Freedom Party Chairman MA Mujeeb for reserving the PM and CMs posts exclusively between Dalits and BCs and Dy PM seats, and Dy PM and Dy CMs posts between Dalits-OBCs and minorities with all MLAs and MPs with instrumental political reserved for OBCs and Dalits.
Sridhara Chari hailed Dalit Bandu and Freedom Party National Working Committee Chairman - MA Mujeeb's poiitical vision and ideology with Babu Jagjivan Ram, Dr BR Ambedjkar and other Dalits, BC leaders Mahatma Jyothi Ba Pule's, Mother Therrisa and Prophet Mohammed ideology and aims for empowering the underpriviled sections the Dalits. OBCs, EWS and Minorities he added.

The commemorative programme commenced at the Freedom Party Kurnool District office, where leaders and party workers garlanded the portrait of Jagjivan Ram.
Following this, the leaders gathered at the Five Roads Junction in Kurnool to offer floral tributes at his bronze statue.
A meeting of party workers was also held to reflect on his lifelong contributions of Babu Jagjivan Ram in nation-building.
Speaking on the occasion, District Working President of Freedom Party Shaik Fareed described Jagjivan Ram as a visionary leader and a relentless champion of the poor, Dalits, minorities and weaker sections.
Fareed highlighted how the veteran leader’s inspiring journey from a humble background to occupying some of the country’s highest constitutional positions reflected his deep dedication, integrity, and unwavering commitment to public service.
Freedom Party National Working Committee member Advocate Laxmi Prasanna, Wishwakarma recalled Jagjivan Ram’s pivotal role in the freedom struggle and his decades of public service in Parliament and the Union Cabinet.
She emphasized that the leader devoted his life to promoting social justice, equality, and the welfare of farmers and laborers while fighting against deep-rooted caste discrimination.
Lauding his leadership during crucial periods in India’s history, Kurnool District Freedom Party Women Cell Chairperson Syeda Mehbooba strongly urged the Union Government to posthumously confer the Bharat Ratna on Jagjivan Ram.
Prominent leaders, including Kodumur Coordinator Mallesham Madiga and Community leaders, attended the meet.
