Kompally : A boy’s fingers were severed after a battery exploded in his hand in Medak district.

A boy’s fingers were severed after a battery exploded in his hand in Medak district. Shivateja, a fourth-year student from Shivampet, was playing with a nine-volt battery when he tried to charge it. The battery suddenly exploded with a loud bang, causing almost complete mangling of his left hand.

His parents quickly took him to a private hospital in Kompally, Hyderabad, where he is now receiving treatment. Doctors have not yet released details about his condition.
